Monaco Grand Prix Predictions

As noted yesterday, today is a quiet day in the principality and the streets are once again open to regular (though when I say regular I really mean multi-millionaires and billionaires) Joes like you and me. Tomorrow will be a hectic day of qualifying, but I still expect the big hitters to make it all the way through to Q3, though because of traffic, there may be a surprise name or two up there. Whatever the case, the race still happens on Sunday, and here are my predictions for the top 10 finishers.

1. Fernando Alonso

2. Lewis Hamilton

3. Michael Schumacher

4. Nico Rosberg

5. Sebastian Vettel

6. Jenson Button

7. Felipe Massa

8. Mark Webber

9. Adrian Sutil

10. Robert Kubica

I feel this is a pretty good call considering how well Alonso is going so far and the fact that he thinks his car will only get better. However, as you can see, I did end up putting the normal top 10 runners behind him, even though I am fairly confident that something will happen in either qualifying, or at the first corner, that will put an end to at least one, if not more, of those people’s weekend. Anything behind the first couple of spots on the grid at Monaco is a disasterous place to be, and someone’s race is going to end in tears very quickly. I just have no idea who it will be, but bank on someone from this list being knocked out very quickly.
