Malaysia Recap and China Preview!

I missed the recap of the last race in Malaysia because of family matters, but the results speak for themselves. Vettel won, again, from pole, and personally I don’t see anyone catching him this weekend either, even though he thinks it will be a tight race with the McLarens. Here are the results from last week and then I will toss in my predictions for China.

1. Sebastian Vettel

2. Jenson Button

3. Nick Heidfeld

4. Mark Webber

5. Felipe Massa

6. Fernando Alonso

7. Kamui Kobayashi

8. Lewis Hamilton

9. Michael Schumacher

10. Paul di Resta

The Renault is obviously pretty good over a race distance, and the Ferraris are seriously lacking pace overall, and I don’t expect either of those to change anytime soon. And with Vettel leading both practice sessions thus far in China, I can’t see any way (aside from some sort of engine failure or accident) that he won’t get on the pole again and win the race. His pace is just too fast for anyone at this time of the year to catch him. Even his teammate isn’t on the same pace, and they have the same car. So here is my rundown of how I think the top 10 will shape up.

1. Sebastian Vettel

2. Lewis Hamilton

3. Jenson Button

4. Mark Webber

5. Michael Schumacher

6. Fernando Alonso

7. Nico Rosberg

8. Felipe Massa

9. Nick Heidfeld

10. Kamui Kobayashi
