Hungarian Grand Prix Predictions. Plus, I Agree With Bernie For Once!

This weekend sees the Formula One boys all trot off to Hungary to drive up and down in the forest very fast, then slow, then fast again. Hungary is like Monaco, set-up wise, so it’s fairly safe to assume that the guys who were at the front in Monaco, will be at the front here. However, there has been a resurgence of speed from Hamilton in the McLaren, and for once the Red Bulls lack some of the pace they have had all year. However, come qualifying, I think it’s safe to say that a Red Bull, or both, will be at or near the front. Over the course of the race, look for the Ferrari of Alonso to be quick, as his pace on race fuel is consistently very fast. Here’s how I see the results ending up based on nothing more than pure speculation and guessing my ass off.

1. Lewis Hamilton

2. Fernando Alonso

3. Jenson Button

4. Sebastian Vettel

5. Felipe Massa

6. Mark Webber

7. Nico Rosberg

8. Adrian Sutil

9. Michael Schumacher

10. Rubens Barrichello

I threw Rubens in as a wild card there and put the Red Bulls down a bit, so let’s see how it all plays out. Also, in other news, Bernie has seen some sort of light (not the kind at the end of the tunnel yet though) and wants to change the calendar for next season. Specifically, he wants to move the US Grand Prix to be second to last, which I see as a good thing given that it will otherwise be well over 100 degrees in the stands, which wouldn’t bode well for either the fans or the drivers. His plan would make it a back to back with Brazil to round out the season, and I think that idea is one of the best he (or someone who suggested it to him anyway) has had in awhile.
